Mobile Mechanic Service Terms and Conditions
Mobile Mechanic Service Agreement
By requesting or authorizing service from North County Mobile Mechanics, the customer agrees to the following terms and conditions:
1. Authorization
The customer authorizes North County Mobile Mechanics to inspect, diagnose, and/or repair the vehicle as requested. Any additional repairs requiring parts or labor beyond the original estimate must be approved by the customer before work is performed.
2. Payment
Payment is due immediately upon completion of the approved work unless otherwise agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods include cash, credit/debit card, Zelle, Venmo, or other approved methods.
Any unpaid balance may be subject to applicable collection costs, court costs, and any other remedies permitted by law.
3. Diagnostic Services
Diagnostic fees cover the technician’s time and expertise in identifying vehicle issues. A diagnosis does not guarantee that additional problems will not be discovered during or after repairs.
4. Customer-Supplied Parts
North County Mobile Mechanics is not responsible for the quality, compatibility, failure, or warranty of customer-supplied parts. Labor performed using customer-supplied parts is not covered by any workmanship warranty if the failure is caused by the part.
5. Parts Warranty
Only parts supplied by North County Mobile Mechanics are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty claims for parts are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
6. Labor Warranty
Workmanship is warranted for 90 days or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first, unless otherwise stated in writing.
This warranty does not cover:
-
Normal wear and tear.
-
Pre-existing vehicle conditions.
-
Failures of unrelated components.
-
Damage caused by overheating after the repair.
-
Abuse, neglect, racing, towing beyond vehicle limits, accidents, or improper maintenance.
-
Customer-supplied parts.
-
Vehicles with excessive mileage or prior mechanical issues unrelated to the repair.
7. High-Mileage Vehicles
Vehicles with high mileage, prior damage, corrosion, or significant wear may have additional failures unrelated to the repair performed. North County Mobile Mechanics is not responsible for pre-existing conditions or failures that occur due to the age or condition of the vehicle.
8. No Guarantee Against Future Failures
Repairing one component does not guarantee that other components will not fail before, during, or after the repair. Automotive systems are interconnected, and additional issues may become apparent after repairs are completed.
9. Road Test
The technician may road test the vehicle before and/or after repairs when reasonably necessary to verify the concern or confirm the repair.
10. Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
-
Providing a safe work location.
-
Ensuring the vehicle is legally parked.
-
Disclosing any known vehicle issues.
-
Maintaining proper coolant, oil, and fluid levels after service when applicable.
-
Monitoring warning lights or abnormal vehicle operation after service and stopping operation if necessary.
11. Limitation of Liability
North County Mobile Mechanics shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost income, towing expenses, rental vehicle expenses, loss of use, or business interruption, except where required by law.
Liability for any approved claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific repair performed.
12. Used Vehicles
Due to the age and condition of many vehicles serviced, no guarantee is made that repairing one problem will restore the vehicle to like-new condition.
13. Abandoned or Uncompleted Repairs
If a customer declines recommended repairs after diagnosis, the customer remains responsible for all diagnostic and labor charges incurred.
14. Force Majeure
North County Mobile Mechanics is not responsible for delays caused by weather, traffic, parts availability, supplier delays, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
15. Disputes
The parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes in good faith before filing legal action. If litigation becomes necessary, it shall be brought in the appropriate court located in the county where the services were performed, unless otherwise required by law.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
17. Acceptance
By requesting service, signing an estimate, approving work electronically, verbally authorizing repairs, or paying an invoice, the customer acknowledges that they have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
